Pinelands Garden Club of Medford Plant sale The Pinelands Garden Club of Medford, Inc. will hold a from 9AM. to 2PM. at the Medford Township Public Safety Building (across from Freedom Park). The sale is a great opportunity to buy perennials and herbs at reasonabe prices, including wildflowers and plants from garden club members personal gardens. Garden club members and master gardeners will be on hand to advise what grows well in local gardens. Proceeds from the sale benefit the club’s scholarship fund.

 EVESHAM—Students in the Evesham school district will soon be learning math a new way — a better way, according to the school board and administration.

EVESHAM—Council is continuing to look at ways to streamline township services, even if that means privatizing would be a more efficient solution. The option of privatizing the parks services portion of the township’s Public Works Department was discussed at the May 8 council meeting.

Mount Laurel man arrested for filing false police report
MOUNT LAUREL— Brett A. Cooper, 35, of the 1600 block of Larchmont Place, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. on May 15 for making a false police report and theft by deception, police said.

MOUNT LAUREL— Cash, electronics and other property valued at a total of $1,540 were taken from several unlocked cars in the Laurel Knoll, Rolling Glen and Rancocas Woods developments sometime between 9 p.m. on May 14 and 7 a.m. on May 15, police said.

Fundraising for Medford Lakes resident

The comedy event was held at the Medford Lakes Country Club to raise funds for a lift for Gwen’s home. She is suffering from stiff person’s disease and is wheelchair-bound. EVESHAM TOWNSHIP Mayor Randy Brown filled in as a bartender at a recent fundraiser for Relay for Life of Marlton held at the Marlton Tavern. Other guest bartenders included Ron Jaworski, David Akers, Mike Quick and Sal Paolantonio.
Shamong budget contains slight cut
SHAMONG—Township committee approved the coming fiscal year’s budget, totaling $2,737,730, at its last meeting. Although somewhat higher than last year’s $2,632,083, this year’s total is actually a slight decrease.
